16 Year Old Musical Prodigy Ace Manilla Releases “WOMEN” Video
Ace Manilla (born Ross Vinuya) is a half-Filipino half-white recording artist, rapper, songwriter and producer. Ace developed his musical passion at the tender age of six, taking up the piano. As he grew older, he gradually developed as a musician and performer, becoming active in his high school jazz band as well as being accepted into the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s youth division; where he performed jazz piano at Cliff Bell’s, one of the oldest and most famed jazz venues in the Motor City.Eventually, Ace’s attention turned to hip-hop, specifically old school west coast artists such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and N.W.A. Inspired by the genre, Ace started to hone in on his lyrical prowess by filling every page of his notebook with verses and rhymes. Expanding his musical horizons, he began recording those verses over beats that he sampled and/or created, leading him to release his first mixtape “Above the Ozone” on the website “Datpiff.”
The premiere of the music video for “Women” on YouTube, will be followed by the song’s release via Itunes on Wednesday, December 18th.
The concept of the video speaks to the dreams of 16 year old boys the world over – having lots of women, when in reality they are having fun hanging out with their friends.
Once you listen and get a taste of Ace Manilla: rapper, musician, and entertainer, his self produced blend of old-school hip-hop smoothed out with jazzy beats embellished with his crisp, catchy lyrical flow will leave you asking “What I’m gonna do with all these women?”
