Getting a major music producer on your team may be all you need to stop worrying about how to get signed to a record label. Why? Let me explain. In many ways, record labels looks to established music producers in the same way they’d look to an a&r. A great music producer (not a beatmaker) can identify raw talent and develop artists to get them ready for the big leagues. If you win the interested of a major music producer, that person may easily be able to walk you into the door to get that record deal. See, they already have music industry relationships. Who knows. That producer may even want to sign you to their record label and just shop a distribution or joint venture deal with one of the major record labels. So how do you get to a major music producer? Do your research.

Not to mention, that major music producer may help to spread the word about your music. You can never have enough promotion! Besides, record label executives like to do business with people they know and right now, they don’t even know you!
